Reflections on beautiful piano play from jessica roemischer
What did you feel ?
I was touched the whole session. I cried all the time because i was deeply touched. I felt this is different from other “piano teachings”. It remembered me at my own childhood and how painfull it was to be treated in a certain way and to learn in a certain way. I had to cut my own wings to fit to the needs of my parents and teachers.
What did you see ?
I saw the glow in the eyes and faces of the kids as they recognized that they can create without any hinderance. They seem immediately recognize what they are doing and with the beautiful aesthetics added by jessica they felt even more motivated to express their own feelings and style of playing piano. There were no limitations in how they should express. Jessica was seeing their gifts and putting her harmonics to it.
What did you think ?
Wow this is different. This is true learning. Not like putting kids into a form , telling them how to behave, how to play, how to express but seeing the gifts of the kids and making them grow. It`s a so great pain to cut the wings of kids and their unique expression, this is a different way of learning.

I have several perspectives on what happened
Evolution emerges throu several child rearing modes.
There are several child rearing modes that are based on first tier. This means they have a punitive structure and they are based on putting the kids into a “form”. But this form is sadly most of the time a narcissistic self structure of the parents or even worse the child is seen as a poison container to transport the unconscious shadow elements to a kid. Most of a time the kid is also used to express the unlived life of the parents. Also parental trauma is expressed thru the kids.
The huge shift in child rearing is the helping mode. This is the first jump from “needing” a child to a helping structure. This means a parent now is a companion. This parent is highly self aware, knows his borders and cleaned much of his shadow elements or is shadow and projection aware.
In this mode the parent is the model for a healthy self structure of the child.
So Jessica is displaying this helping mode in the best manner. She is a companion, showing her skills and being a mentor in just support the uniqueness of every child emerge.
I always see the analogy of plants. You cannot put a sunflower into a form of a tree. It`s tremendous painful and a big lie. You cannot put a tree into the form of grass. That is also a big lie. You cannot make plants grow faster with pressure. But with nurturing and giving the right informations in the right time, the self structure gets more solid and stable. They really know who they are because they are growing in their unique self and not in the false self of lies.
I quote here Stephen Wolinsky out of his german book “beyond the enneagram – the way of the human”.
This is the basis for all first tier child rearing modes. And sadly it is betrayal.
“What is the main cause for creating protective self identities ? Betrayal.
So we should have a look at a new definition of betrayal in the light of the evolving human.
a.)Betrayal of someone else
1. to force someone, to be something else as what he really is
2. to show someone something else as your true self (showing a mask)
3. giving wrong informations, because you add, leave out, mute or change informations, with the aim to control the person or to get from the person, what you would not get from the person if you would tell the truth.
b.)Betrayal of yourself
1. Telling yourself lies or stories about how and who you are
2. Telling yourself lies or stories about how / who is someone else
3. Telling yourself lies or stories to give yourself the right how you treat other people
4. Telling yourself lies or stories to give yourself the right of your point of view or position
In my experience to cut the wings of a child is extremely painful. Every protective self identity is a split in the true self and so a lie and sadly not your complete unique self.
In my personal opinion i believe that children could gain potentials and free creative powers that are far beyond any imagination of a human today.
